This week Rowan University was again recognized as one of the top universities in the world in the U.S. News and World Report 2026-2027 Best Global Universities list. Rowan had a notable jump on the list, rising nearly 150 spots since last year.

Released June 17, the rankings include 2,250 of the world’s top universities in more than 100 countries. The rankings consider many factors, including academic research and reputation, location, campus culture and affordability. Rowan’s 1,734 ranking reflects the strength of these areas along with the growing reputation of Rowan across the globe.

To be included, universities must meet a minimum threshold of at least 1,250 research papers published between 2020 and 2024. This recognition highlights Rowan’s commitment to expanding its footprint as a top 100 national public research institution.
