Houshmand among BINJE’s 'Top 30 Power Players’

Rowan University President Ali A. Houshmand has been honored as one of New Jersey’s “Top 30 Power Players” in business, according to the publication BINJE. The list named leaders who represent “vision, resilience and influence.”  

Calling him “more influential” at Rowan than any other university president, the publication’s editor Tom Bergeron wrote, “it’s fair to ask if any C-suite leader in any sector has had as great an impact.”

“Houshmand has run Rowan like a business,” Bergeron added. “More than that, he has run it as an economic engine for all of South Jersey. And he’s only just begun.”

The honorees were selected from among more than 100 business leaders who were celebrated on Jan. 13 in New Brunswick during an event produced by the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce.
