Honoring their service to our country

Dear Rowan University Community,

On Veterans Day—the eleventh day of the eleventh month—the United States honors all who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. 

At Rowan, we set aside a week to celebrate our students, employees, neighbors and colleagues who have served their nation. During Rowan’s Military Appreciation Week, Nov. 8 through Nov. 15, remember our veterans and the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made to protect our Constitution and our country. 

A simple thank you goes a long way, but if you want to do more, opportunities to participate are all around you. Look for campus activities throughout the week, starting with Saturday’s football game vs. the Castleton Spartans at Coach Richard Wackar Stadium. Consider donating a toy to the Toys for Tots drive or find your own creative way to give back.  

Whether through a kind word, a moment of silence, or active participation, your recognition matters. Thank you to all who have served—and continue to serve—with courage and commitment.
