Rowan University has once again earned national recognition for its commitment to sustainability, earning a spot in the 2026 edition of The Princeton Review® Guide to Green Colleges. The guide, now in its 16th year, highlights 388 colleges that demonstrate dedication to environmental responsibility and sustainability in policy and practice.

Princeton Review editors noted that Rowan stood out for its comprehensive sustainability initiatives, which include green building practices, robust recycling, and student-led environmental advocacy. The university earned a Green Rating score of 80 or higher—an achievement based on more than 25 data points collected through surveys of college administrators and students during the 2024–25 academic year.

The Princeton Review’s Green Rating evaluates how well schools prepare students for environmentally responsible careers, manage campus resources, and support sustainability-focused student life. Rowan’s inclusion reflects not only its institutional efforts but the active engagement of its student body in promoting environmental awareness.
