Rowan University rises in U.S. News Best Colleges 2026 report

Rowan University continues its upward momentum in the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, which were released today, with improvements across multiple categories and academic programs.

For 2026, Rowan held steady at #92 among Top Public Schools—#169 among all National Universities (research-intensive)—and made a significant leap in social mobility, climbing 22 places to #189 among National Universities.  

Rowan also earned recognition in several specialized categories:

· #114 – Best Value Schools 

· #122 – Best Colleges for Veterans 

Academic programs showed strong gains too, especially in high-demand fields. These undergraduate program rankings include:

· #294 – Nursing (up 98 spots)

· #229 – Computer Science (up 52 spots)

· #248 – Economics 

· #297 – Psychology 

· #112 – Engineering 

· #287 – Business
