Rowan University this week was recognized as one of the top universities in the world in the U.S. News and World Report Best Global Universities 2025-26 list.

Released June 17, the list included an evaluation of more than 2,250 schools from more than 100 nations.

The rankings evaluated such factors as academic reputation, faculty-student ratio, and global research impact. Rowan’s inclusion on the list reflects the University’s ever growing influence in areas such as engineering, medicine, business and sustainability.

This recognition highlights Rowan’s commitment to high-quality, accessible, affordable education while expanding its global footprint.

A top 100 national public research institution, Rowan offers bachelor’s through doctoral and professional programs, in person and online, to more than 24,500 students. With eight colleges and nine schools, Rowan focuses on practical research at the intersection of health care, engineering, science and business while ensuring excellence in undergraduate education.

Rowan is one of two public universities in the nation to offer M.D. and D.O. degree programs and this fall will open New Jersey’s first veterinary medical school.
