Rowan honored as a best college for veterans, adult learning and online degrees
Abound, a higher education guidance system for degree-seeking adults, this week honored Rowan University with four Finish College Awards for outstanding programming and service to students.
The awards program cited Rowan among the:
- 100 Best Online Colleges for 2024
- Best Online Colleges: North 2024
- Best Colleges for Adults 2024
- Best Colleges for Military and Veterans 2024
Abound: Finish College provides information for non-traditional students who are starting degrees or returning to college to finish them, including resources on undergraduate, graduate, nursing and MBA programs.
Rowan, a top 100 national public research institution, offers bachelor’s through doctoral and professional programs in person and online to 23,000 students. With eight colleges and nine schools, the University focuses on practical research at the intersection of health care, engineering, science and business while ensuring excellence in undergraduate education.
Rowan continually earns national recognition for innovation, high-quality, affordable education and public-private partnerships.
In October, the University was included by The Princeton Review on its list of the “greenest” colleges in America for the second straight year and included by U.S. News & World Report in September in a list of the top national schools.
The newsmagazine’s much-anticipated 2025 rankings cited, among the best programs in the nation:
- undergraduate programs through the Rowan's Rohrer College of Business
- Rowan’s Bachelor of Science in nursing
- undergraduate economics
- undergraduate computer science
- undergraduate engineering
- and undergraduate psychology.
One of two public universities in the nation to offer M.D. and D.O. degree programs, Rowan is developing the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine, New Jersey’s first veterinary school, which will welcome its first class in 2025.
