Application period opens for free Think Like an Entrepreneur summer academy

The School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University is now accepting applications for its 8th annual Think Like an Entrepreneur Summer Academy for high school students.

The Academy, a four-day, non-residential, educational experience, is for rising high school juniors and seniors that grants three free college credits to students who complete the program. This year’s program on Rowan’s Glassboro campus runs June 24-27, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day.

Application & Deadlines

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on June 2, but students who apply by 11:59 p.m. on May 24 will receive priority consideration. Acceptance notifications will be emailed by June 4. 

Eligible applicants must live in the United States and be either a high school junior or senior during the 2024-25 academic year.

About the 2024 Think Like an Entrepreneur Summer Academy 

The academy focuses on the development of soft skills - including fostering of an entrepreneurial mindset – and on building entrepreneurial knowledge and expertise.

Regardless of intended major, all future college students, and the organizations that will employ them, benefit from the type of creative mindset, hard work, and initiative that power startups. Check out how high schoolers learn to think like an entrepreneur at the Academy, here. 

Participants will:

  • Learn how to conceive, develop, prototype, and sell their ideas.
  • Work with Rowan faculty and student leaders to learn the basics of how to transform an idea into a viable business.
  • Gain exposure to life on a college campus and the excitement of working with a team toward a common goal.
  • Upon completion, earn three college credits, equivalent to one college course, which can be used at Rowan or transferred to another college or university.

Please note that transportation and housing are not provided.

No program fees
