News magazine ROI-NJ this week once again recognized Rowan University President Ali A. Houshmand for leadership that stands out.

On Jan. 24 the magazine named him #19 on the ROI-NJ Influencers “Power List Super 60,” a compilation of the most impactful leaders in the state.

“Houshmand is one of the most forward-thinking and dynamic leaders in the state — not just in higher ed,” ROI editors wrote. “It is why Rowan has skyrocketed in influence during his 10-year run as president. An engineering school at heart, Rowan also is a leader in medical education, as its partnership with Virtua to create a College of Medicine & Life Sciences and the creation of the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine attest.”

The magazine last year named Houshmand, Rowan’s seventh president, to its Power Influencers list and, in September, named him a “Champion of the C-Suite” in a special issue that identified the 30 top leaders in New Jersey.

The Super 60 list, led by Governor Phil Murphy, also includes Dennis Pullin, CEO of Virtua Health, Princeton University President Chris Eisgruber, and United States Senator Cory Booker.

Said Houshmand, “congratulations to all who made ROI-NJ's 2024 Influencer Super 60 Power List. I am humbled to be recognized among those helping to build a stronger New Jersey.”
