'Rowan Revolution' report earns top national award
Rowan University’s Division of University Relations earned a top national award this week from The Council for the Advancement of Education (CASE) for the fall 2022 publication, "Rowan Revolution: A decade of rethinking and reshaping the future."
Each year, CASE holds its Circle of Excellence competition as a way to identify and celebrate outstanding communication and marketing initiatives across the country. Rowan won gold in the President’s Reports and Annual Reports category.
Entirely researched, written and designed in house, the report chronicles Rowan University's decade of tremendous transformation under the direction of its seventh president, Dr. Ali A. Houshmand. The project includes in-depth interviews of the president and several key administrators, past and present, and supporting documents, data and external sources.
The 59-page publication features a detailed narrative, photographs, a timeline, a letter and a "behind the scenes" story from the president, as well as numerous graphics. The publication will serve as the foundation for the final chapter in the University’s upcoming Centennial publication, a coffee-table history book of Rowan’s first 100 years.
A judge commented:
“Excellent job at showcasing the range of activity that has happened over the last 10 years. Great content, photography, graphical elements, charts, overall design and flow, etc. It has something for everyone! It includes all the elements you would expect in a great report.”
