Rowan Alert Update: Perpetrators charged
On Saturday, Dec. 3, Rowan’s Department of Public Safety issued a Rowan Alert about a female student who had been inappropriately grabbed by a male non-student in Holly Pointe Commons. The student did not need medical attention and was offered support services.
Rowan police detectives were able to identify the primary perpetrator and four others who accompanied him. In reviewing video footage, the group was seen entering the building unauthorized. The main perpetrator engaged the victim in a conversation with the victim and touched her without consent.
Rowan Police have charged the following NON-student individuals. The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office will review all charges.
- Christopher Aragon Figueroa, age 18, of Bridgeton. Charges: Criminal sexual contact and criminal trespass
- Terence L. Dawkins, age 19, of Bridgeton. Charge: Criminal trespass
- Keion R. Fowler, age 19, of Bridgeton. Charge: Criminal trespass
- Donell Holden, age 22, of Bridgeton. Charge: Criminal trespass
- Ahmir M. Ramirez, age 18, of Bridgeton. Charge: Criminal trespass
As a reminder, our residence halls require swipe cards for entry for everyone’s protection. Hosts are responsible for the actions of their guests. Do not allow individuals into secured areas if you are not their host. Also, please be mindful of people attempting to follow you into buildings without swiping in.
