U.S. News ranks Rowan among the best universities in the world

U.S. News & World Report this week ranked Rowan University among the best colleges and universities worldwide.

The news magazine, in its 2022-23 Best Global Universities rankings, evaluated 2,000 colleges and universities on academic research and reputation in a study that, its editors said, was designed to help students from around the world more easily rate schools they seek to apply to.

The Oct. 25 study ranked Rowan #1668 overall based on a tally of 13 categories including global research reputation, regional research reputation, publications, books published, and the percentage of publications cited by other researchers. It also ranked Rowan #991 for clinical medicine.

Rowan was one of 280 American colleges and universities in the global study, which also included 338 schools from China, 105 from Japan, 92 from the United Kingdom and 81 from India.
