Williams Shealey, Edson, Reboli celebrated as influencers
Dr. Monika Williams Shealey, senior vice president for the Division of Diversity, Equity & Inclusions, Dr. Matthew Edson, founding dean of the fast-developing Rowan University School of Veterinary Medicine, and Dr. Annette Reboli, dean of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, were honored in March as leaders in their fields by regional publications.
Named to the ROI Influencers: Women in Business 2022 list by ROI-NJ, Williams Shealey’s profile is fast-rising statewide and nationally for her work to expand opportunities and acceptance of all members of the Rowan University community.
Specifically, the periodical noted, Williams Shealey is “helping (the) school deepen its commitment to social justice and equity.”
Reboli, dean of CMSRU since 2017, is a dedicated physician-researcher-administrator who in 2019, along with Rowan President Ali Houshmand, was named to the NJ BIZ Education Power 50 list.
ROI-NJ noted in March that Reboli is a “prominent infectious diseases expert with solid history of scholarship and a decades-long commitment to medical education.”
NJBIZ cited Edson on that paper’s “Power 50” list, noting that the popular Burlington County veterinarian brings great promise to Rowan’s veterinary program, which will be the first in New Jersey. The program’s creation, and the hiring of Edson to lead it, was announced in December.
“The practice he started a decade or so ago is thriving, and for the past four years he’s been voted ‘Best Veterinarian’ by readers of the Burlington County Times,” NJBIZ noted.
