President Houshmand, Dr. Lalovic-Hand named ROI-NJ tech influencers

The newspaper ROI-NJ in April named President Ali Houshmand and Dr. Lalovic-Hand, senior vice president for Information Resources and Technology and CIO, to a select group of statewide technology influencers.

In its special edition, ROI Influencers: Technology 2022, the publication noted that innovation continues to drive change at institutions across the state and that Houshmand and Lalovic-Hand are key to not just changes at Rowan but to the university’s influence throughout the region.

Houshmand, editors wrote, is a “STEM scholar but it’s the innovative ways he has grown the university that earn him a spot on the list. The sooner more universities follow Houshmand’s approach, the better off the state will be.”

Editors wrote that Lalovic-Hand is a “fierce technologist” who “provides strategic leadership for the planning, design, implementation and use of information systems and technology that support the complex operations of an R2 Carnegie-classified national doctoral research institution.”

The special edition honored technology leaders across New Jersey including educators, entrepreneurs, hospital executives and lawmakers.
