All great entrepreneurs at some point need a hand, a mentor, some help along the way. Rowan University’s popular Think Like an Entrepreneur Summer Academy offers the type of guidance on which dreams are built.

Now in its sixth year, the free program for high school students, offered through the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Rowan’s Rohrer College of Business, has begun accepting applications for Summer 2022.

Sponsored by the TD Charitable Foundation, the Academy is an eight-day, non-residential, educational experience and, for the first time in two years, will be in-person on Rowan’s Glassboro, N.J., campus.

The program is open to all rising high school juniors and seniors, regardless of their intended major or college.

“It's our expectation that students who participate in Think Like an Entrepreneur will be able to hit the ground running in their first year at college, wherever they end up going,” said Dr. Sue Lehrman, dean of the Rohrer College of Business.

All students who successfully complete the program will earn three college credits, the equivalent of one college course, which may be used at Rowan or another college or university.

Participants will also:

  • Learn how to conceive, develop, prototype and sell their ideas;
  • Work with Rowan faculty and student leaders to learn the basics of transforming an idea into a business;
  • Experience studies on a college campus and the excitement of working with a team toward a common goal.

The program runs Monday through Thursday, June 20-23, and Monday through Thursday, June 27-30, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day.
