The magazine ROI-NJ this week named Dr. Monika Williams Shealey, senior vice president for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, to a list celebrating New Jersey’s top DEI leaders.

Shealey, a former dean of Rowan University’s College of Education, has lead the Division of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion since its founding in 2019. Since then, she created a University-wide DEI Council, helped develop a popular DEI certificate program, restructured the Title IX office and charged several taskforces with helping to implement best practices, all in an effort to foster universal acceptance, inclusion and belonging regardless of ability, race, gender, sexuality, age, faith, national origin or political perspective.
