Rowan University campuses declared safe for return
At approximately 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8, the Gloucester County 9-1-1 call center notified Rowan University that it had received a call indicating that multiple bombs had been placed at several locations on and around the university’s campuses. In an abundance of caution, the university’s Department of Public Safety, in consultation with the Office of the President, ordered an immediate evacuation of all facilities on its Glassboro, Camden and Stratford campuses.
At 1:50 p.m., Rowan University police completed inspection of all buildings and declared all campuses now safe for return to normal operations.
Rowan University thanks the Gloucester County Office of Emergency Management and the Glassboro Police Department for their help in the ongoing investigation.
