Rowan accepting applications for FREE 2021 Think Like an Entrepreneur Summer Academy
The Rowan Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Rohrer College of Business is now accepting applications for its 5th annual Think Like an Entrepreneur Summer Academy for high school students.
Thanks to generous support from TD Bank, students may earn college credits for free in this year’s program but space is extremely limited.
Fully virtual for 2021, the Academy is a non-residential educational experience for high school juniors and seniors with an entrepreneurial mindset but students and parents must act quick – the application deadline is June 1.
Rowan’s 2021 Think Like an Entrepreneur Summer Academy will help prepare students of all interest groups – even those without a clear desire to study business – for success in college and beyond by training them to think entrepreneurially.
“It's our expectation that students who participate in Think Like an Entrepreneur will be able to really hit the ground running in their first year at college, wherever they end up going,” said Rohrer College of Business Dean Dr. Sue Lehrman.
Participants will:
- Learn to conceive, develop, prototype and sell their ideas;
- Work with Rowan University faculty and student leaders to learn the basics of how to transform an idea into a viable business;
- Gain exposure to student life on a college campus and the excitement of working with a team toward a common goal;
- Earn three college credits (equivalent to one college course of credit which can be used at Rowan or transferred for credit to another university).
