Rowan University has launched a new program that provides free tuition and fees for a four-year undergraduate degree for students whose families earn $45,000 or less.

The Rowan University Opportunity Program is open to New Jersey residents who will be first-time incoming freshmen in fall of 2021. Families must have an adjusted gross income of $45,000 or less to qualify.

Additionally, students must register full time for the fall 2021 and spring 2022 semesters and must file a FAFSA application and be eligible for full federal and state aid. Students must register for the FAFSA by June 1.

The program upholds the University’s unwavering commitment to improving access and affordability to obtaining a higher education degree. It also enhances Rowan’s commitment to serving first-generation college students.

“The Rowan Opportunity Program expands access to a high-quality, four-year education for talented students who might not otherwise be able to attend college,” says Rowan Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management Jeff Hand.

“Obtaining a higher education degree changes the life of a student and also can positively impact the life of an entire family.”
