Rowan Medicine physicians and staff are partnering in a new drive-thru style site on the Sewell Campus of Rowan College of South Jersey to help expand access to COVID-19 testing in Gloucester County.
Plans to create the new site have moved swiftly, as initial discussions began fewer than two weeks ago, according to Rowan Family Medicine physician Dr. Alison Mancuso.
“It’s been inspiring to see so many people, including physicians, advanced practice nurses and staff members from every Rowan Medicine department, have stepped forward to volunteer,” she said.
More than 200 county residents have been tested and received guidance about their health.
Currently, testing at the site is available from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursdays for Gloucester County residents who are at least 18 years old and who have been prescreened for potential COVID-19 infection.
The site is a partnership of Rowan University, Rowan Medicine, Happy Healthy You Medical Practice, Gloucester County Office of Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Department of Health, Sheriff’s Office, and Public Works; Rowan College of South Jersey – Gloucester; Lab Corp; Quest Labs; Deptford Police Department; and Gloucester County Medical Reserve Corps.
