Commencement 2018 Event Information

Commencement 2018, Rowan’s proudest week of the year, resumes a University tradition with one main ceremony at Coach Richard Wackar Stadium Sunday, May 6 at 4 p.m., and will include 10 college- and school-specific ceremonies during the week.

Sunday afternoon’s Commencement kickoff will feature Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl star – and Glassboro’s own – Corey Clement as the keynote speaker. An estimated 2,000 students are expected to participate. The University’s college- and school-specific ceremonies will run Monday through Friday May 7-11 in which a combined 3,600 students are expected to participate.

CEREMONIES: Barring inclement weather, all college- and school-specific ceremonies (except for the College of Performing Arts) will be held on University Green. See a full list of times and locations on the Commencement web site.

TICKETS: Guests attending the main ceremony Sunday in Wackar Stadium must have tickets, which are available through the University Tickets page. All participating students must reserve guest tickets in advance.

College- and school-specific ceremonies on University Green do not require tickets and all family and friends are invited to attend. However, in case of inclement weather, ceremonies will move to Esbjornson Gymnasium, the Student Recreation Center and/or Pfleeger Concert Hall in Wilson Hall and scannable guest tickets would be required for all ceremonies except for the College of Performing Arts, Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, the School of Osteopathic Medicine and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. (Please note: the SOM/GSBS reception requires guest tickets.)
