From students to faculty to staff, the Rowan community knows President Ali Houshmand is a power player. Now New Jersey knows it too.

Houshmand this week made NJBiz Magazine’s “Power 100 List 2018,” a survey of the most influential individuals in the state. The honor follows his inclusion on ROI-NJ’s inaugural “Power List” just last month.

Citing the president’s commitment to keeping New Jersey’s “best and brightest” high school graduates in the state, his role in developing a $50 million research program at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and his efforts at building a true “eds and meds” corridor in Camden, NJBiz, which included him on the magazine’s 2014 Power 100 list too, again found Houshmand to be one of New Jersey’s most important leaders.
