Softball Coach Kim Wilson records 700th win at Rowan
CARY, NC – Rowan University softball
coach Kim Wilson recorded her 700th victory at the
University when the Profs defeated Randolph College, 8-3 on
Saturday, Feb. 24.
In 22 seasons, she has compiled a Rowan coaching record of
700-237. Her overall record stands at 764-294 in 28
campaigns. In 2016, Wilson earned her 700th career win
when Rowan swept Neumann University, 9-0 and 10-0 (March
24).
Prior to the season, Wilson ranked 11th in the NCAA Division III
by active victories (761-293), 18th winningest active coaches
(.722), 14th by victories all-time (761-293) and 21st winningest
coaches all-time (.722).
At the Rowan, Wilson has guided the Profs to six NJAC Championships
and 15 NCAA Championship Tournament appearances. She was named the
NJAC Coach of the Year in 1998, 1999, 2009 and 2015 and the
conference's Co-Coach of the Year in 2011. She was also
chosen the 2009 Division III Metro Softball Combat Sports/Eastern
College Athletic Conference Coach of the Year and the 1998 Atlantic
Region Coach of the Year.
