Rowan After Hours and Rowan Athletics are teaming up to set a world record for the most people waving foam fingers at the men's basketball game on Saturday, Feb. 4.

What do you call 500 people simultaneously waving foam fingers for 30 seconds? At Rowan University, a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title… hopefully.

On Saturday, Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m., members of the Rowan University and Glassboro communities will gather together to attempt a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the most people waving foam fingers simultaneously during halftime of the Rowan men’s basketball game versus New Jersey City University in Esbjournson Gym on the Main Campus in Glassboro.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members all are welcome as Rowan Athletics and Rowan After Hours team up for the record-breaking challenge. Check in begins at 6:30 p.m.

As they arrive, fans wishing to participate will receive a complimentary foam finger and a wristband signifying that they are part of the record-setting event. On cue, they will congregate in a specific area of the gym and will show their Rowan and community pride, waving their foam finger simultaneously for a full 30 seconds.

To set the record, videographers and photographers will be on hand to document the event, which must be certified later by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS.

General admission is $5; $3 for children, senior citizens, and visiting college students with valid ID.
