Rowan Engineering signs articulation agreement with Cumberland Co. school

Cumberland County Technical Education Center (CCTEC) and the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering officially sealed an articulation agreement with a signing ceremony Aug. 10 at the new CCTEC campus adjacent to Cumberland County College in Vineland.

“With this partnership, our students can continue their engineering studies seamlessly as Rowan freshmen, giving them the best possible start to their college career,” said Dr. Dina Elliott, CCTEC superintendent.

This agreement offers CCTEC students who complete the engineering program with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 automatic acceptance into Rowan Engineering. Students who complete the program with a GPA of at least 3.0 will be given strong consideration under the agreement.

“Any student who is considering engineering as their vocation can now be assured that Rowan is ready to welcome them the moment they graduate from CCTEC,” said Anthony Lowman, dean of Rowan Engineering. “We’re excited to make that possible.”

“This agreement helps students plot an educational plan for high school and college, giving them a clear path to reach their goals,” said Daniel G. Vivarelli Sr., president of the CCTEC Board of Education. “By enabling students to see their future clearly at a young age, CCTEC and Rowan Engineering enable students to focus on learning and growth when it matters most.”
