“The Little Star That Could” appears at Rowan Planetarium
Imagine you are a newly-born star. You don’t know what your name is. You’re not sure what you should be doing with your life. And you’ve been told you need to locate some planets that can become part of your family and give you a name.
In “The Little Star That Could,” playing Sunday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. in Edelman Planetarium in Science Hall at Rowan University, viewers follow the Little Star as he searches for the answers. He encounters a very old star and a hot blue star and a pair of twin stars, before the Milky Way gives him a clue.
The presentation is part of the Edelman Planetarium’s “Family Show” series, where once a month the University provides a planetarium show geared toward the younger set.
Admission fee for “Little Star” is $2 per person. The show does NOT include a live presentation segment, and it lasts about 35 minutes. More information about planetarium shows can be found at www.rowan.edu/planetarium/.
