The Festival marks the fifth year of this collaboration that brings together events that showcase science and technology in everyday life. With 210 of the region’s most influential institutions, museums and cultural centers working together, the Festival aims to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers and create homegrown citizen scientists, by exploring the many ways that science and technology touch our everyday lives. Presented by The Dow Chemical Company and organized by The Franklin Institute, the Festival packs more than 100 events into nine days (April 24 to May 2) at locations across the region, including restaurants and breweries, parks, libraries, museums and other neighborhood places, many of them free.

Rowan also will participate in the Festival’s signature event, the Science Carnival on the Parkway, a free all-day, all-ages event that concludes the 2015 Festival on May 2. The Carnival features more than 175 exhibitors and vendors offering non-stop, family-friendly experiments, interactive activities and games, and a packed line-up of live entertainment. Located at 20th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, in Philadelphia, the Carnival is the culmination of this celebration of science in everyday places.
