Rowan University Foundation Board elects Paul Tully as chair

The Rowan University Foundation Board has named Paul Tully, registered principal, CFP of Eagle Wealth Strategies as chair for a first term. A resident of Wenonah, Tully has been a member of the Board since 2007 and has served on the executive committee since 2008.
“This is an exciting time to be a part of the University’s growth and progress and it is an honor to serve my alma mater as chair of the Foundation Board,” said Tully.
Tully is founder of Eagle Wealth Strategies, located in West Deptford, an independent firm that provides clients with comprehensive wealth management, retirement and investment planning services. Founded in 1989, the firm currently manages in excess of $200 million for area businesses and families. He serves as a member of the advisory board of the Rowan Student Managed Investment Fund, and speaks often to Financial Management Association students.
Tully was a founding director of The Bank of Gloucester County, which became one of the most successful and fastest growing community banks in the eastern United States. He served as vice chairman of the board of directors until 1996 when the firm changed hands.
He has served the community as chairman of the Underwood Memorial Hospital Foundation, president of the Wenonah Athletic Association and district chairman of the Southern New Jersey Boy Scouts. He is also on the Board of Education at Gateway Regional High School.
Tully earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Rowan in 1999.
The Foundation Board also elected Joseph Bottazzi, executive vice president of business development at Edelman Financial Services, LLC, to his first year as vice chair. A River Edge (Bergen County) resident, Bottazzi has been a member of the Board since 2009 and currently is serving his first term on its executive committee. He graduated from Rowan in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing and received his M.B.A. in finance from Fordham University.
Anthony Galvin will serve a first year as secretary. A resident of Point Pleasant Boro (Ocean County), Galvin is a retired senior vice president of real estate, store planning and construction for Coach, Inc. in New York City. He has been a member of the Board since 2008 and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Rowan in 1989.
Larry Salva, senior vice president, chief accounting officer and controller for Comcast Corporation, who most recently served as vice chair, will serve a first year as treasurer. A Princeton (Mercer County) resident, Salva has been a member of the Board since 2000 and has served on its executive committee since 2005. He earned a bachelor’s degree in administrative studies from Rowan in 1977.
“The University is fortunate to enjoy the leadership of an engaged and dedicated Foundation Board of Directors,” said President Ali A. Houshmand. “The Board members play a meaningful role in Rowan’s achievements and we are appreciative of their continued support and commitment.”
The Rowan University Foundation oversees and coordinates all fundraising activities and is responsible for the management and investment of all charitable contributions to benefit the University.
