Rowan responds to tremor from earthquake

The tremor felt on campus this afternoon, Tuesday, Aug. 23, was a
shockwave from an earthquake in Virginia.

Action News/Channel 6 in Philadelphia reports that slight tremors and shaking buildings were experienced throughout our region. Rowan University is offering counseling services at the Counseling and Psychological Services Center on the 3rd Floor, Savitz Hall. If you or anyone you know is feeling stress or anxiety from the events, please feel free to come by to meet with a counselor. The Counseling Center is open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and afterhours 24/7 by calling 856/256-4222 or x4222.
Staff from the Rowan University Department of Public Safety have inspected the campus buildings. Members of the Rowan community who see what may be damage from the tremor are asked to call Public Safety at 856/256-4922 or x4922.
