Butler won the Undergraduate/Graduate Category for her work, "Special Education: Creating Opportunities, Reaching for Success."
A writing arts and elementary education major with a reading endorsement, Butler is the Vice President of Social Activities for the Eta Psi chapter of Kappa Delta Pi at Rowan.
She was one of the key contributors to the Eta Psi chapter's first book, Lessons from My Teacher: Honoring Educators Who Inspire Us, published this year.
Her essay will appear in an upcoming issue of the Kappa Delta Pi Record and also will be included in a printed booklet that will be distributed at KDP's Convocation in Indianapolis in November.
