Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer to speak at Rowan

Deanne Fitzmaurice, winner of the 2005 Pulizer Prize for feature photography, will speak in the Boyd Recital Hall in Wilson Hall at Rowan University on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.

Fitzmaurice will show her Pulitzer Prize-winning photo story, published in the San Francisco Chronicle, which documents a young Iraqi boy's struggle to survive after suffering near fatal wounds in an explosion.

She will also show other stories and talk about the importance of strong storytelling through photography, whether you are shooting a personal project or an assignment for a magazine, a corporation, or a news website. Fitzmaurice 's clients include Time Magazine, Sports Illustrated, MSNBC, Target and Microsoft.
