Rowan University's Office of Admissions recently picked up five Communicator Awards from the International Academy of the Visual Arts, the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals.

The office received two Awards of Excellence and three Awards of Distinction from the Communicator Awards, now in its 16th year.

Altogether, the Communicator Awards received more than 7,000 entries from companies and agencies in categories including print/design, integrated campaigns, interactive, audio, marketing effectiveness and video.

Awards of Excellence were presented to Rowan for its admissions campaign and for its "Rowan on the Move" newsletter. Meanwhile, the admissions office received three Awards of Distinction for its brochure, a direct mail piece, and a mini-viewbook.

Awards of Excellence are the highest honors given to entries that are among the very best in the field. Awards of Distinction are presented for projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement.

Rowan alumnus Dan Reigel, assistant director of admissions, oversaw the communications projects, while Kelsh Wilson Design of Philadelphia handled the design work.
