The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA) has awarded $4,000 scholarships to Rowan University students Gaetana Carbone, Matthew Kienholz and Joseph Ward.

The NJSCPA offers the largest professional scholarship program in the state. The organization will present the awards to Rowan winners and other high school and college awardees on April 22 at the 50th Annual NJSCPA Scholarship Awards Ceremony in Iselin.

As part of their scholarship, the Rowan students will be able to attend The Scholars Institute, cosponsored by the NJSCPA; Deloitte, Ernst & Young; KPMG; and PricewaterhouseCoopers. The two-day, all-expenses-paid residency program will be held at The College of New Jersey in June to provide attendees with practical training, assist them with making the transition from college to career and provide them with networking opportunities with CPA professionals, according to the NJSCPA.

Carbone, 20, of Spring Lake Heights, is a junior accounting major with a minor in Spanish and a concentration in international studies. Kienholz, 20, of Blackwood, is a junior accounting major. Ward, 21, of Mantua Township, is a junior accounting major.
