Rowan University has appointed James Jordan, of Mantua Township, as director of its Master’s in Business Administration program in the Rohrer College of Business.

Jordan comes to Rowan from SHPS, Philadelphia, where he was a work group manager overseeing a team of eight systems analysts, and from DeVry University, Philadelphia, where he was a professor in and former chair of the business programs. Jordan also has worked as an information analyst for Towers Perrin/EDS, Cherry Hill.

He earned a B.A. in political science and M.B.A. with a specialization in e-commerce and information technology from Rutgers University, Camden.

Jordan is a member of the American Council on Education and is a former combat engineer with the United States Marine Corps Reserve.

“Our search resulted in interest worldwide and generated a strong pool of candidates for the position,” said Dr. Niranjan Pati, dean of the Rohrer College of Business. “We are pleased that Jim chose to join us to oversee our growing M.B.A. program.”

As director of the M.B.A. program, Jordan will be responsible for program marketing, student recruitment, curriculum development, course scheduling, student advisement, orientation for new domestic and international students and graduate assistants, and developing relationships with the regional business community, among other duties.

“I am excited to be a part of the Rowan University community. I believe the Rohrer College of Business M.B.A. is uniquely positioned to emerge as the program of choice in the region,” Jordan said. “We have ambitious plans to expand our presence beyond the main campus in Glassboro. The Rohrer M.B.A. offers flexible modes of delivery, as well as off-site courses in Cherry Hill. In addition, we are accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.”
