Journalists to discuss corruption in New Jersey in talk at Rowan

Journalists Bob Ingle and Sandy McClure will discuss their book, The Soprano State: New Jersey's Culture of Corruption, in a talk at Rowan University on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 4:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Rowan Hall.

Co-sponsored by the Friends of Campbell Library and the political science and journalism departments, the event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.

The Soprano State details true stories of corruption in New Jersey politics, government and business over the past 30 years. The book explores everything from Mafia influences at all levels to the resignation of former Gov. Jim McGreevey. For information on the book, visit http://www.thesopranostate.com/.

A veteran journalist, Ingle has worked for the Associated Press, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Gannett, where he currently serves as bureau chief for the Trenton office. Ingle writes a syndicated column and a blog and appears on the "Jersey Guys" radio show on New Jersey 101.5 FM.

An award-winning reporter, McClure spent three decades covering New Jersey Statehouse stories for both The Trentonian and the Gannett State Bureau. She also had two stints in Pennsylvania covering government and corruption for five newspapers.
