Rowan choruses present music and dessert
Rowan University’s Women’s and Men’s choruses share the stage for an evening of “Divas, Divos and Desserts” on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 8 pm in Pfleeger Concert Hall on the Glassboro campus.
Under the direction of Dr. Z. Randall Stroope and Michael Trotta, the WOCHO! (women’s chorus) and Statesmen (men’s chorus) concert also showcases conducting students Stephen McMahon, Ben Spalding and Amy Troxel and features a variety of soloists.
The eclectic program includes works by Baldassare Galuppi, Henry Purcell, Felix Mendelssohn, Daniel Gawthrop, David Dickau and Eduardo Mocoroa; songs such as “Danny Boy” and “Home on the Range”; and selections from the scores of West Side Story, Annie Get Your Gun, The Pirates of Penzance, Ragtime, The Mikado and more. In addition to the music, there will be a “Dessert Intermission.”
Pfleeger Concert Hall is located in Wilson Hall on the campus of Rowan University, Route 322 in Glassboro. Admission to this performance is free and open to the public.
