Magazine honors Rowan's Susan Hersh

Training Magazine has named Susan O. Hersh, of Glassboro, one of its "Young Trainers to Watch" and will include her in its May 2008 issue and on its Web site, www.trainingmag.com.
Hersh, 32, is lead technical trainer in the Information Resources Training Services Department at Rowan University.
" . . . we believe your accomplishments and leadership make you a definite up-and-comer in the training field," the magazine's executive editor noted in an acknowledgment letter.
A graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, In., with a bachelor's degree in journalism, Hersh is pursuing a master's degree in higher education at Rowan. At the University, among other accomplishments, in 2004 she launched the Information Resources Training Services unit to meet the technology development needs of nearly 2,000 Rowan University employees, including administrators, faculty and staff, and in 2006 she helped create the IR Online Training Center, a custom-designed online registration and content management system that allows participants to register for classes, download training resources and send automatic confirmation and reminder messages.
Active in numerous groups on and off campus, Hersh is a member of the American Association for Adult & Continuing Education, American Society for Training & Development, Educause, Mid-Atlantic Banner Users Group, and Trainers & Educators of Metropolitan Philadelphia Organizations.
