Students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in the Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University will have new options soon. The Rowan Board of Trustees recently approved curriculum changes to several programs, among them:

-- Changing the B.S. in business administration with a finance specialization to a B.S. in finance.

-- Changing the B.S. in business administration with a management information systems specialization to a B.S. in management information systems.

-- Changing the B.S. in business administration with a marketing specialization to a B.S. in marketing.

-- Adding a specialization in marketing for the Master's in Business Administration (MBA) program, which currently offers MBA specializations in accounting, entrepreneurship, finance and management.

According to Ted Schoen, dean of the Rohrer College of Business, these changes better characterize the preparedness of Rowan University students to meet the challenges of an increasingly competitive business world.

All proposals approved by the Rowan Board are being forwarded to the Academic Issues Committee of the New Jersey Presidents' Council for approval. The new majors and other proposal are expected to be implemented in fall 2007.
