Rowan to host Invention to Venture conference

Local government, business and education leaders will be featured
speakers at the Third Annual Invention to Venture (I2V) conference
for the Greater Delaware Valley hosted by Rowan University, the
Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the National
Collegiate Inventors & Innovators Alliance (NCIIA) on Friday,
November 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Eynon Ballroom in
the Rowan Student Center, Rt. 322, Glassboro, NJ.
Topics will include:
? What is Technology Entrepreneurship Anyway?
? Is Technology Entrepreneurship for You?
? Idea Validation and Opportunity Assessment
? Legal Issues and Intellectual Property Licensing
? Team Building and Alliance Formation
? The Perfect Business Plan and Elevator Pitch
? Marketing for Early-Stage Companies
? Financing Your Company: Startup, Growth and Exit
At I2V, participants will:
? Expand their knowledge of technology entrepreneurship and technology commercialization
? Learn more about creating new technology-driven ventures
? Make the connections needed to move their ideas ahead
? Gather momentum for ventures they already have launched
I2V workshops are conducted at universities around the country and feature a nationally recognized curriculum delivered by regional speakers.
