Rowan junior wins Broadcast Pioneers scholarship

Rowan University junior George Hunsicker will receive a $1,500 scholarship from the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia during a scholarship dinner April 19 at the Bala Country Club in Bala Cynwyd, Pa.
A resident of Collegeville, Pa., Hunsicker is a 2003 graduate of Saint Pius X High School in Pottstown.
A radio/television/film (RTF) major in Rowan's College of Communication, Hunsicker serves as sports director of Rowan Radio WGLS 89.7-FM, the University's award-winning radio station.
He also is vice president of the Newman Club, the Catholic campus ministry, and is involved with the University's Admission Ambassadors.
Additionally, Hunsicker serves as president of the Future Broadcast Pioneers.
