Rowan Hosts Spring Equinox Lecture

The Department of Physics & Astronomy and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Rowan University will host their annual Spring 2004 Equinox Lecture on Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at 7:30 p.m. in Betty Long Rowan Lecture Hall, Rowan Hall (the engineering building).
Dr. Keith Noll, an astronomer with the Space Telescope and Sciences Institute and head of the Near Infrared Camera Multi-Object Spectrometer group, will present ?Truth and Beauty: Images from the Hubble Space Telescope.?
Noll?s science interests include the solar system, brown dwarfs and extra-solar planets. He is the principal investigator of the Hubble Heritage Project. This project uses the Hubble Space Telescope as a tool for extending human vision and builds a bridge between the endeavors of scientists and the public. The Heritage Project recently was awarded the 2003 Klumpke-Roberts Award of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific and the 2000 Infinity Award for Applied Photography.
