Nick Petroni of Glassboro Appointed to Rowan University Board of Trustees

Glassboro resident Nick Petroni has become the newest member of the
Rowan University Board of Trustees. Appointed to a six-year term by
Gov. James McGreevey, Petroni was sworn into office by State Sen.
Stephen Sweeney (D-3) during a February 11 Board meeting at Rowan?s
Camden campus. Petroni?s wife Bonnie and son Nick Jr. assisted in
the swearing-in ceremony.
?Nick Petroni brings to the Board of Trustees a wealth of business and accounting knowledge that will be a great asset to the Board and to Rowan University,? said Rowan President Dr. Donald Farish. ?He will also provide additional insight into issues of interest to Glassboro residents and business owners.?
Petroni is a certified public accountant with more than 30 years experience and owner of Petroni & Associates, a local accounting firm of more than 15 professional staff members. His firm has completed audits for New Jersey municipalities, counties, and school districts, as well as banking institutions and nonprofit organizations. He has shared his expertise with Rowan students, having taught Accounting and Income Taxation courses as an adjunct faculty member.
A 1970 business administration graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Petroni is licensed as a CPA in New Jersey, and is registered as a municipal and public school accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the New Jersey Society of CPAs, and the Registered Municipal Accountants Association of New Jersey.
Petroni works to improve the Glassboro community as a member of the Mayor?s Committee for Downtown Redevelopment and the Finance Council for the Church of St. Bridget. He also is a past president of the Glassboro Chamber of Commerce.
