More Than 1,000 Expected to Move Into Residence Halls

More than 1,000 Rowan University freshmen will move into their new residence halls on Saturday, August 30, 2003 starting at 10 a.m. at Chestnut, Evergreen and Mimosa halls.

Rowan University will welcome 1,001 freshmen residential students to campus during Move-In Day on Saturday, August 30. That number represents close to 78 percent of the approximate 1,290 freshmen enrolled for 2003-04.

Rowan had a record number of students apply for fall admission. More than 6,200 students applied, and 3,180 students were accepted. The members of the class of 2007 have an average SAT score of 1163 and are from the top 25 percent of their high school senior class.

NOTE: Rowan?s president, Dr. Donald Farish, and University vice presidents will assist with the move-in starting at 11 a.m. at Mimosa Hall (behind the Student Center). Upperclassmen volunteers, including members of fraternities and sororities, will lend a hand that day as well.
