GLASSBORO -- Rowan University was the big winner in contests sponsored by the New Jersey chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and by the Admission Marketing Report (AMR).
IABC presented Awards of Excellence for both the University website and the president's annual report.
IABC presented an Award of Merit to Edward Ziegler, director of University Marketing, for article on marketing titled <+>You Can't Teach a New Dog Old Tricks: A Marketing Lesson from Pets.com.?
Rowan competed against Fortune 500 companies and many large public relations agencies. The University website has won 10 awards in the past two years.
Also, a national competition sponsored by AMR presented both Rowan's total advertising campaign and magazine advertising campaign Awards of Merit. The advertising campaign has won eight awards since it began in October 2000.
