HR Games at Rowan University
Students studying human resources at Drexel University, Penn State University, Robert Morris College, Rowan University, Slippery Rock University, Temple University and The College of New Jersey will compete in the Jeopardy-style Annual Society for Human Resource Management?s (SHRM) HR games at Rowan University on Saturday, April 7, 2001.
In its second year, the HR games competition consists of a series of regional matches that leads to one team winning the entire event. The 2001 regional matches will feature 30 minutes of playing time featuring two sessions of 25 questions each (five questions in five categories). Questions for the competition will cover material found on the HRCI PHR certification exam so that studying for the HR Games also prepares students to sit for the PHR exam.
Each team consists of three undergraduate SHRM student members. The six winning teams, one from each of the six SHRM regional areas of the country, will receive a travel stipend and free conference registration to attend the 2001 SHRM Annual Conference in San Francisco and compete in the national HR Games championship event.
Penn State University is the defending national champion.
