Glassboro ?As part of the celebration of African American History Month at Rowan University, author, rapper and civil rights activist Sister Souljah, will speak on racism in America on Feb. 7 at 11 a.m. at the Student Center Ballroom. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Souljah is currently the executive director of Daddy?s House social programs, a not-for-profit organization for urban youth financed by P. Diddy (former Sean Puffy Combs) and Bad Boy Entertainment. Using a curriculum she designed, Souljah educates and prepares youths for a successful academic future.
Souljah?s book, The Coldest Winter Ever, became a national bestseller and was made into an HBO movie, which is scheduled for release later this year.
