Rowan Reception to Honor Paul Stankard

Glassboro- Rowan University will host a reception for world-renowned
glass artist Paul Stankard, of Mantua Township, on Wednesday, March 8,
from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the lobby of the University's library, Rt. 322.
The reception is in honor of the display of Stankard's botanical <+>Pinelands
Bouquet<+> in the library lobby. Stankard donated the piece to the
University in honor of Congressman Richard Gephardt. Rowan University
presented Stankard with an honorary degree in 1998, during the
commencement ceremony at which Gephardt was the speaker.
Stankard, whose works are prized by gallery owners and collectors and
are displayed in this country and abroad, has received numerous awards
for his creations.
