Due to predicted inclement weather on Friday, Sept. 7, the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering at Rowan University will host its 6th annual Engineering Carnival on Friday, Sept. 14, from noon to 3 p.m. on the Rowan Hall Green off Bowe Boulevard in Glassboro. Students are invited to enjoy an afternoon with the College of Engineering faculty, staff and alumni as they officially welcome the Class of 2022.

About 30 first-generation college students and students from underrepresented populations in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields got a head start this summer on college life in their majors via a nine-year-old program at Rowan University.
University leadership from across the state and officials from New Jersey’s Office of the Secretary of Higher Education and the Economic Development Authority (EDA) joined Gov. Phil Murphy on Aug. 15 to showcase the newly created Research with NJ database, which will provide access to the State’s cutting-edge research assets, with the goal of strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.

Dozens of middle school boys from throughout the region will learn about concrete canoes, gel and elastic polymers, and programming circuitry, among other topics, when they participate in Rowan University’s engineering education program Boys’ Engineering, Science & Technology (BEST) on Tuesday, July 17, and Wednesday, July 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, at the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering at Rowan University, off Bowe Boulevard in Glassboro.
