President's Chief of Staff Dr. Joanne Connor named Honorary Commander of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst
Dr. Joanne Connor, chief of staff to Rowan University President Ali Houshmand and liaison to the university’s Board of Trustees, has a new title: Honorary Commander.
The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) selected the Rowan University Chemical Engineering Professor Zenaida Otero Gephardt as the recipient of this year’s Eminent Engineer Award.
Sports CAM students meet Charles Barkley
Charles Barkley, NBA Hall of Famer, 11-time All-Star, 1991 league MVP, Emmy-award winning sports analyst, and a man formerly known as “The Round Mound of Rebound” addressed the Rowan University community Oct. 1.
On Friday, Oct. 4, the Rowan University community will honor former Health & Exercise Science Professor Theresa Cone’s devotion to living an active, healthy lifestyle by hosting the inaugural RU Fit Fest to benefit ALS. An emeritus professor, Cone died from complications of ALS on Sept. 27.
Rowan University Field Hockey player Molly Gorczyca
The Rowan University field hockey team invites fans, players and the community to support their teammate Molly Gorczyca on “Molly’s Detour” Night on Wednesday Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. The Profs play Stockton University at Wackar Stadium. Gorczyca was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia, which is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow.

NJ BIZ Magazine this week named three top Rowan educators – President Ali A. Houshmand, Cooper Medical School of Rowan University Dean Annette C. Reboli and School of Osteopathic Medicine Dean Thomas A. Cavalieri among its 2019 “Education Power 50.”

Rowan University’s Division of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion hosted a ribbon cutting and open house Sept. 24 to celebrate the division’s mission and its new home in Savitz Hall.
Rowan University’s Institute for Public Policy & Citizenship (RIPAPC) will host U.S. Sen. Chris Coons (D-Delaware) in a guest talk on Thursday, Oct. 10.
