Rowan’s Edelman Planetarium offers winter/spring programs

Rowan University’s Edelman Planetarium will host a variety of shows this season, from musical laser lights to exploring outer space to one-hour live presentations open to the public each weekend until March 17.

Every Friday at 7 p.m., the planetarium uses its Laser Fantasy projection system to present the Laser Hendrix show, including songs such as EXP, Fire, Crosstown Traffic, Foxy Lady, Bold as Love and much more.

On Saturdays the planetarium hosts three shows beginning at 4 p.m. with StarSigns. This show focuses on the astrological signs that originated from the star patterns in the sky. At 5:30 p.m., the planetarium shows Moons: Worlds of Mystery. Moons immerses the audience into the diversity of moons and the roles they play in shaping the solar system. The planetarium ends the night with Laser Beyonce, starting at 7 p.m., featuring top hits by Beyonce, including Formation, Irreplaceable, Independent Women, Naughty Girl, Halo and much more.

The planetarium also introduces Totality, a show that takes a look at all the wonders of eclipses. It examines the scientific discovery when general relativity began with the photographic recording of a total solar eclipse. Totality plays on Sundays at 3 p.m.
